From JR Kokura Station
Take the skywalk directly from JR Kokura station, located near the north exit.
From Fukuoka Airport
Board the airport limousine bus bound for JR Kokura station. The ride is about 1 hour, 30 minutes and buses depart daily between 8:30 and 21:15. The fee is 1,200 yen.
Mojiko Retro Town
This sightseeing attraction is a reconstruction of Moji port. Fashioned in the early twentieth century Taisho style, the buildings, hotels and shops around JR Mojiko station make a beautiful urban attraction.
Shimonoseki
Shimonoseki is the first city encountered after passing through the Kanmon tunnel from Honshu to Kyushu. The tunnel passes under the Straits of Shimonoseki, the site of a historical battle in the Genpei War and known for bountiful seafood. Gaze out over the straits from the top of Kaikyo Yume Tower or visit the porpoises at the aquarium.
Kokura Castle
Located in the Kokura Kita district of Kitakyushu, Kokura Castle is a popular tour spot. The grounds are separated into five sections: history, castle life, video re-creations, exhibits & events, and panoramic views from the top of the donjon. It is a 15-minute walk from JR Kokura station.

April to October: 9:00 to 18:00, November to March: 9:00 to 17:00
The entrance closes 30 minutes before closing time.
Space World
A theme park built around space rides and exhibits, Space World is filled with enough fun for kids and adults alike for the entire day. Space attractions include the Space Museum including fun exhibits and a moon rock.
Hiraodai Countryside Park
Hiraodai Countryside Park is located at the Hiraodai Karst landform, a geological formation created through the natural dissolution of bedrock. Hiraodai is designated as a special natural treasure and prefectural nature park. In addition to the beautiful scenery, enjoy hiking through nature, picnics, caves and more.
