How to get to RIHGA Royal Hotel Hiroshima

From JR Hiroshima Station

By the Nozomi Shinkansen train, Hiroshima station is about 1 hour, 20 minutes from Shin-Osaka station and 3 hours, 55 minutes from Tokyo station.

From JR Hiroshima station, ride the tram (operated by Hiroshima Electric Railway) to Kamiya-cho Nishi. From there, it is a three-minute walk to the hotel. The tram leaves approximately every five minutes between 6:19 and 23:25.

Alternatively, the ride by taxi is 1,000 yen and takes about 10 minutes.

From Hiroshima Airport

Board the airport limousine bus to the Hiroshima Bus Center. The ride is about 1 hour and costs 1,300 yen each way. The buses run from 8:30 to 21:20 from the airport, and 5:55 to 19:15 returning to the airport.

Alternatively, take the taxi, also approximately 1 hour. The taxi costs about 15,000 yen including road tolls.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park

The park created in the aftermath of the atomic bombing with the hope of eternal peace for the world. Attractions to Peace Park include: peace monuments such as the World Heritage A-Bomb Dome and the Memorial Cenotaph, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, the Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims and the International Conference Center Hiroshima. The Peace Park is only an eight-minute walk from the hotel.

The Hiroshima Museum of Art

The Hiroshima Museum of Art

With a focus on French Impressionists, the Hiroshima Museum of Art covers 150 years of modern European art from the Romantic movement to the Ecole de Paris viewed through some 90 pieces. Japanese modern art in the Western style is also featured with about 70 pieces. The Hiroshima Museum of Art was founded in 1978 by the Hiroshima Bank in celebration of its centennial anniversary. The Museum is located immediately outside the front of the hotel.

Hiroshima Castle

Hiroshima Castle

Among the popular features at Hiroshima Castle are areas demonstrating what castle construction was like, a historical review of Hiroshima and an exhibit of Hiroshima-style armor and weapons. There is also an area where you can try traditional armor on, just like the samurai used to wear. Hiroshima Castle is a five-minute walk from the hotel.

The entrance closes 30 minutes before closing time.

Miyajima

Miyajima

The island of Itsukushima, known as Miyajima (shrine island) for its many historical shrines, is home to a number of national treasures and Itsukushima Shrine is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy the beauty of the shrines and look out to the torii gate submerged in the sea so as to appears to be floating.
