Read below about the creators of these memorable artworks
that leave a lasting impression on hotel guests,
and their sources of inspiration in nature and culture.
KIMURA Hideki

KIMURA Hideki

Kimura was a key presence in the early days of the rock scene in Japan, as organizer and promoter of numerous music festivals and events that have passed into legend.
He took up painting at the age of 60. His murals are now displayed in over 180 locations throughout Japan and around the world.
His long and storied association with the domestic rock scene is reflected in his lively and energetic works.
Rather than painting onto a canvas in a studio, Kimura prefers to conduct "live" painting sessions in public settings.
As the ultimate embodiment of amateurism, he is a singularly unique artist.

HARAWATA Chunko

HARAWATA Chunko

HARAWATA Chunko specializes in designing neon signs as well as neon-like screens and illustrations inspired by the noise and clamor of Asia, particularly the narrow streets of Japan.

SUZUKI Hyottoko

SUZUKI Hyottoko

SUZUKI Hyottoko has spent years traveling around Japan and observing traditional folk entertainment such as bon-odori dancing and the traditional Shinto music and dance performances known as kagura in local towns, developing a unique aesthetic that informs her recent works.
Her Kadenzu (Home Appliance) series, which references the humor and satirical expressions found in ukiyo-e woodblock prints, is typical of her thoroughly modern paintings, which have been exhibited widely in galleries throughout Japan as well as art fairs in Asia.
She also produces illustrations for a wide range of settings and products, including hotel interiors, book covers, CD covers and food packaging.

BAKIBAKI

BAKIBAKI

BAKI-gara is the term for BAKIBAKI's modern renderings of the traditional Japanese patterns of old.
Inspired by Japanese subculture, he creates re-imagined versions for the 21st century.
Having made his name with live painting at clubs, festivals and other music events, BAKIBAKI currently produces exterior murals and public art installations in Japan and around the world.
Starting with the 2021 Yodokabe mural project in and around Juso in Osaka, he has been closely involved in local revitalization projects and international cultural exchange programs.
