The name "Osaka Royal Hotel" was chosen from among nearly 90,000 public submissions, with a focus on the residents of Osaka, when the new hotel was being constructed.

Year 1973　The Birth of the New Building (Current East Wing (Tower Wing))

With the birth of the new 30-story building, it was renamed "Royal Hotel" and undertook the mission of spreading its wings to the world.
The total guest rooms reached 1,565, making it the largest hotel in the Orient at the time.

Year 2000　The Birth of "Osaka International Convention Center"

In 1990, the group changed its name to the "RIHGA Royal Hotel Group" and embarked on a new beginning. In 2000, Osaka International Convention Center was born next to it, and the following year, we became the alliance hotel for Universal Studios Japan.
