90 Years of Heartfelt Hospitality

Since opening its doors in 1935 as “Guest House of Osaka,” we have welcomed distinguished guests from around the world for 90 years. From the visit of Their Majesties Emperor Shōwa and Empress Kōjun to heads of state and members of royal families from across the globe, the hotel has stood at the heart of countless historic occasions.

Across eras and borders, this grand hotel has remained a place where history unfolds—and where extraordinary moments are held with grace.

A Legacy of Hospitality

No matter how challenging a guest's request may be, we never begin by saying “no.” From the front desk and concierge to housekeeping, restaurants, and banquets, every department comes together as one, thinking beyond the obvious and exploring every possibility until a way forward is found.

Over the years, this unwavering commitment to understanding our guests and fulfilling their wishes has been handed down through generations of hotel professionals. It remains at the heart of the hospitality that defines RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka today.

From one heart to another

This philosophy has been recognized through numerous accolades. In November 2025, Hirofumi Iwamoto, Assistant Restaurant Manager at Restaurant Chambord, won the 21st Maître d’Hôtel de Service Cup, Japan’s only restaurant service competition held to international standards, with special support from the France-based Coupe Georges Baptiste Association.

His achievement embodies the spirit of “from one heart to another”—a tradition of heartfelt hospitality that has lived on at this hotel for 90 years.
